Tolls / Road Use Charge, Romania 2024
The road use charge is structured depending on the duration of use of the national road network in Romania, which includes the duration of route, as well as the duration of parking of the vehicle.
The Romanian road use charge, called ‘rovinieta’, is compulsory throughout the Romanian road network, and can be purchased from the offices of the National Company for Road Infrastructure Administration (CNAIR) at border crossing points. UNTRR has developed an online application in English, German, Hungarian, Russian, Turkish, Bulgarian, Polish and Serbian, where hauliers can buy rovinieta.
From 11 March 2024, the new tariffs, and the validity of rovinieta are as follows:
